According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the aforementioned Circular stipulates 15 types of chemicals and antibiotics that are allowed to be used in livestock and poultry feed for the purpose of growth stimulation, including include: Bambermycins, BMD (Bacitracin Methylnene-Disalicylate), Chlortetracycline, Colistin sulphate, Enramycin, Kitasamycin, Lasalocid sodium, Lincomycin, Monensin, Narasin, Neomycin sulphate, Nosiheptide, Salinomycin sodium, Tylosin phosphate and Virginiamycin.In Circular 06 above, there are provisions:In a product of livestock and poultry feed, only 2 antibiotics specified in the List promulgated together with this Circular may be used;the case of using more than 2 types of antibiotics must have a scientific basis.Organizations and individuals may only use premixes with antibiotic content not exceeding 20% ​​to mix into mixed feeds for cattle and poultry with the concentration specified in this Circular;may not be used for any other purpose.Antibiotics used in livestock and poultry feed for the purpose of growth promotion in Vietnam in the List promulgated together with this Circular shall only be applied until the end of December 31, 2017.The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also issued a draft amendment to Decree 08 on animal feed management, including special regulations on the management of animal feed containing antibiotics: Do not use antibiotics in aqua feed.Only use aquatic feed mixed with veterinary drugs allowed to be circulated according to the instructions of manufacturers and veterinary officers during the treatment of aquatic animals.Animal feed containing antibiotics must clearly indicate the name and content of antibiotics, instructions for use, and time to stop using on the package or attached documents.Antibiotics used in animal feed for the purpose of stimulating the growth of livestock and poultry must be included in the list of antibiotics permitted for use in animal feed.The use of antibiotics in animal feed for the purpose of stimulating the growth of livestock and poultry is applied until the end of December 31, 2017.Antibiotics used in animal feed for the purpose of treating livestock and poultry diseases and preventing diseases of young livestock and poultry must be veterinary drugs permitted for circulation in Vietnam and under the prescription of a veterinarian. have a practicing certificate for animal disease prevention and treatment as prescribed in the Law on Veterinary Medicine.The use of antibiotics in animal feed for the purpose of disease prevention for young cattle and poultry is applied until December 31, 2018.Control and prevention of drug resistanceInformation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that in 2013, the Ministry of Health issued the National Action Plan on the prevention of drug resistance in which the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is a member of the steering committee.On June 24, 2015, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and development partners signed a document of agreement on the prevention of drug resistance in Vietnam.MARD is implementing the Program "Improving the use of antibiotics in animal husbandry" funded by FAO, USAID from October 2016 to October 2017.In addition, Mr. Dam Xuan Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Health said: In 2016, regional veterinary authorities inspected 18 companies importing antibiotic materials to make veterinary drugs.The results only found 1 company selling Sulfamid raw materials to the wrong object, wrong purpose, with a volume of 74kg.In 2016, the Inspector of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organized an inspection and examination of 15 companies importing antibiotic materials.Result of detecting and making records of violations against 6 companies that sell antibiotic materials to the wrong subjects;Based on the request of the Inspector of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Veterinary Veterinary has suspended the import license of 11 types of antibiotic materials for 6 violating companies for 2-3 months.Organize and implement a program to monitor chemical and antibiotic residues in aquaculture.Results: In 2015, 31 samples/2717 seafood samples were found to be contaminated with toxic substances exceeding the allowable limit (accounting for 1.14%).From the beginning of 2016 to September 2016, 36 samples of 2186 seafood samples were detected with antibiotic residues (accounting for 1.65%).
